EDPM and Petroleum (Oil) - Problems
Oil/petroleum based products are not compatible with EPDM roofing membranes. Here you can see an example of what happens when oil leaked from rooftop equipment. Over time there is a high probability that this will become a leak. Walk pads, communication with other trades that work on your roofs and regular maintenance visits can prevent damage to your roof membrane and assemblies.
